Jorge L. Gómez-Möller
Jorge L. Gómez-Möller is a Partner, the Chief Legal Officer, and General Counsel of Driftwood Capital, where he oversees all fund-level and asset-level strategic and legal matters, including fund formation, recapitalizations, and complex fund and real estate transactions. Mr. Gómez-Möller serves on the Investment Committee of Driftwood Capital and on the Board of Driftwood Hospitality Management.
Mr. Gómez-Möller launched the firm’s Investment Management platform with the formation of Driftwood Advisors, LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser, for which he also served as Chief Compliance Officer from 2020 to 2025. In 2019, Mr. Gómez-Möller led the launch of the firm’s Opportunity Zone platform. In 2020, Mr. Gómez-Möller helped direct the corporate restructuring of Driftwood Capital and simultaneous formation of, and capital raise for, more than $300M in general partner (GP) funds focused on hospitality acquisitions, development and lending, which funds have subsequently transacted on more than $5BN in real estate assets.
In 2021, he successfully helped structure and lead the equity recapitalization of Driftwood Capital’s subsidiary hotel management company, Driftwood Hospitality Management, which continues to rank among the largest hotel management companies in the US. In September 2024, he helped lead the structuring and equity recapitalization of a fund focused on Florida’s Space Coast market, which at closing held assets valued in excess of $700M.
In 2025, Mr. Gómez-Möller helped lead the merger of Driftwood Capital’s four hospitality GP funds into Driftwood Capital Holdings, LP, which currently serves as Driftwood’s flagship GP fund. Previously, Mr. Gómez-Möller practiced at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, representing private equity sponsors in fund formations, joint ventures, and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
Beyond his professional commitments, Mr. Gómez-Möller is active in his hometown Miami community. Among other involvement, he is a member of the Orange Bowl Committee, and, as an environmental advocate and lifelong lover of all things saltwater, he serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks, the official philanthropic partner of Florida’s national parks. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School.
Mr. Gómez-Möller holds a B.A., cum laude, in Government and English from Georgetown University, a J.D. from Boston University School of Law, and a certificate in Commercial Real Estate Analysis and Investment from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Gómez-Möller is a member of the Florida Bar.
